What does the wishbone do in Valheim? If you've just defeated the bonemass boss in Valheim and you now have a brand new wishbone to play with, it's in the next biome – the mountains!

USING VALHEIM WISHBONE (wishbone)
You need to equip a wishbone so it occupies an accessory slot, which is annoying for mining if you need it to transport plenty of silver to Megingjord. However, the transition is easy, and we recommend keeping both of you with you for whatever the adventure entails.
When the wishbone is inserted, it will begin to flash (pale blue sparks will emanate from you), and the closer you get to the buried treasure or silver, the faster the wishbone will flash and be accompanied by a ping sound. You're looking for a fast, high-frequency frequency before you start digging. Silver can be deep below the surface and often forms long, branching veins. The wishbone will stop pinging once all the silver has spawned, but there may still be unmined silver, so keep an eye out. For efficiency's sake, you may want to use a regular pickax to reveal the vein before using your iron pickax to harvest.
Buried treasure is typically deeper underground than silver. Wishbones also detects piles of muddy scrap hidden in the floor, allowing you to collect scrap iron without getting into those spooky crypts.
