A: However, ReGameDLL_CS itself is fully compatible with Counter-Strike 1.6 Steam servers. From the GitHub repository [github.com] you can set it yourself.
A:  Servers are a whole different dimension with other factors and possible user setups that need to be addressed with a guide like this one.
C:  Therefore, a separate variant of this guide targeting servers written from scratch will be required.

C:  No. However, ReGameDLL_CS itself is compatible with Counter-Strike 1.6 on Windows and Linux dedicated servers, but you will have to install it yourself.
C: Latest Metamod-P [github.com]  Be sure to use  If you try - it's not regular Metamod as it's incompatible.

:  This guide does not cover Metamod or AMX Mod X installations as this guide only targets clients (listening servers) not supported by Metamod or AMX Mod X  . With any official Counter-Strike 1.6 Steam update and the developers will have no reason to fix it. The “ReGameDLL_CS” modification used by this guide to enable bots also adds a lot of useful game configuration commands you might want to use. These do not replace core game functionality by default and are listed and described here  [ github.com]

The authors of Counter-Strike: Condition-Zero added a bot system and bot menu to the game.
They are available in the game code of Counter-Strike 1.6 but are disabled by default. Required files and bot menu resource files are not included.
ReGameDLL_CS  by s1lentq is an open source rewrite of Counter-Strike 1.6's gameplay code (which keeps all core gameplay functionality and default behavior), with bot system enabled, many new optional features, and better stability and support for third-party server add-ons. This guide is based on this change.
